Salvadoran charged in hit and run
A Salvadoran living in the Orange Walk District has been arrested after he allegedly knocked down and killed a cyclist on Saturday night. According to police, fifty-nine year old Maximiliano Sarceno, a Guatemalan living in Guinea Grass Village, was riding his bicycle on the Guinea Grass Road around nine-thirty when he was struck by a white pickup truck. Sarceno was pronounced dead on arrival at Northern Regional Hospital. Police say the vehicle, which was travelling in the opposite direction, did not stop, but continued on its way.
