O.W. woman charged in husband’s murder
He was shot last month, died of his injuries on Friday and today his wife was charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Authorities are not saying much about why they believe twenty-five year old Florecita Quiroa may have conspired in the shooting death of her husband Jose Merino Quiroa but the evidence appears to be mounting. On May twenty-fourth, Quiroa was shot in his mouth by a man who went to his residence in Orange Walk Town and called him out of the house. The gunman was never caught but News 5 understands that while Quiroa was in the hospital, he was able to provide authorities with vital information that included a history of alleged threats made by his wife. Further investigations reveal that Mrs. Quiroa was allegedly seen earlier on the day of the incident speaking to a man that fits the description of the triggerman. Police believe that Jose Quiroa was killed for his money and other assets. The Quiroas are naturalized Belizeans originally from El Salvador.
