Body of Dangriga man found near Belize City

The trail of blood may reach from Dangriga to Belize City but tonight police are still trying to find out what led to the murder of Dangriga resident Rialton Pablo Flores. Flores’ body was found after eight this morning lying just off a feeder road near mile three on the Western Highway. It was clad in a white t-shirt and blue jeans and wrapped in a purple blanket. Police strongly suspect Flores was killed somewhere else and his body dumped at the location. According to Police press officer, G. Michael Reid, Flores, who is no stranger to authorities, was last seen in his home town around nine on Sunday night.

“We got some information that he was seen some time around nine p.m. last night in Dangriga and that in fact he might have mentioned to some people that he was on his way to Belize City to transact some type of business. We know that this individual has had some run-ins with the law before and pretty much that’s all we know at this point… While there were no signs of blood or things like that, there was some sign of markings around his neck area.”
