Flowers Maintains Saldivar Is Plotting Against Him

Flowers maintains that the charges brought against him are all part of a plot to make him the fall guy, to shift attention away from the ongoing investigation involving alleged murderer William ‘Danny’ Mason.  He asserts that the Minister of National Security is meddling in the affairs of the police department where it concerns their investigation into the sexual assault allegations made against him.

“If they have nothing to hide and nothing to be afraid of, or if there is no such truth to the theory that they are behind this, why don’t you accept to do the right thing and to do a fair investigation and to make this scientific method work.  It is there, it is available.  Why are you insisting on interrupting the police from doing their job?  And Blackett is spineless as the Acting Commissioner [of Police], either because he is clueless or has to hinge on to the dictates of this – I don’t want to call him no funny name you know – but this John Saldivar has better be very careful because this is a malicious prosecution for I which I will not sit back and allow him to do it.  I’ve armed myself with, I think, the best legal mind in this country and we will pursue this thing and we will do that without impediment to the process.  If they want to arrest me I am available.  In fact, after this interview I will be going over to the police station.”

“I have, I noh di surrender myself.  I am going to the police station and if they want to, as a part of their humiliation tactics, to humiliate me and to… whatever they want to do I am in full compliance with whatever they want to do.  I have nothing to hide.”
