Keron Moss Shot in Hattieville

Keron Devon Moss

On Wednesday night, the quiet of the usually peaceful Farmer’s Site in Hattieville was shattered by the sound of gunshots. When police responded, they found that twenty-seven-year-old Keron Devon Moss bleeding in the parlor of the home he shared with his parents. He had been shot by a gunman who came knocking at around nine thirty that night. Today, Hattieville Police provided what information they’ve been able to gather on the case.

Keith Clarke, Head, Duties and Discipline, Hattieville

“Upon being interviewed Mr. Moss stated that around 9:40pm on the same date he was at home when he heard a knock on his door. When he went to open the door he thought he saw two male persons, one of whom he recognized. The other, who Mr. Moss was apparently not able to recognize, was armed with a handgun. This armed male person pointed the gun at Mr. Moss and fired two shots, one of which caught Mr. Moss on his left leg. Both male persons then fled the scene. Mr. Moss was transported to the K.H.M.H. via BERT ambulance where he remains in a stable condition. The scene was photographed and processed by Scenes of Crime technician Mr. Robert Henry and two 9mm expended shells were recovered. Two male persons after initial investigations were detained in this incident and currently remain detained at the Ladyville Police Station.”

“He has given us a verbal statement during our interviews, however an official statement is what would be needed to arrest and charge and take them before the courts. We have not gotten an official statement, a written statement from Mr. Moss as yet, however the detective who is assigned to the case will be visiting him at the K.H.M.H. sometime today to try and get an official statement. From what we have gathered up to this point, it doesn’t seem as if Mr. Moss would want to give an official statement to the Police. However that does not preclude us from trying.”
