SanCas Salesman Jacked
Just before three this afternoon, there was a brazen robbery. Belizean salesman Mark Lisbey of Santiago Castillo Limited reported that after midday, he was conducting business at a supermarket at mile thirteen on the Phillip Goldson Highway. He collected two thousand seven hundred and forty-three dollars and fifty-three cents in cash from Everyday Supermarket located just past the entrance to the Los Lagos Community. As he exited the store, he was approached by a man who he had encountered on his previous stop. That individual pulled out an ice pick and demanded money. But there was a second person who grabbed Lisbey by the neck and threw him to the ground before grabbing his money bag which contained cash, cheques and documents. The robbers then escaped in a taxi that was parked behind the store and drove towards Burrell Boom. According to the police, the duo got away with three thousand eight hundred and forty-three dollars in cash and four thousand eight hundred and eight dollars in cheques.
