Angelus Press Helps City Students Get Back to School

John Gillett

A hundred Belize City students will be the recipients of much needed back to school goodies courtesy of the Angelus Press. Today, at its headquarters on Queen Street in the Old Capital, Manager John Gillett handed over the Jansport school bags to representatives from the Belize Red Cross, who will be issuing the bags on their behalf. Each school bag was filled with school supplies: a pack of copy right paper, exercise books, pens, pencils rulers and basic items needed for student to transition back into school.

John Gillett, Manager, Angelus Press Limited

“It was our pleasure today to donate a hundred Jansport school bags filled with supplies. These are being handed to those who are in most need and with the assistance of the Red Cross, we partnered with them to make sure that we reach out to the right set of individuals. Right after the hurricane, we saw the devastation; we know people’s homes were impacted, we know their belongings were impacted and we know that many would have challenges trying to get the basic essentials.  And being that it is back to school time, we believe that it is the most fitting time for us to make such a donation. So we are happy that we could do our little part to get back our country on its feet.”
