Julius Espat Believes He Has Not Been Lawfully Suspended

Julius Espat

Cayo South Area Representative Julius Espat was suspended as a member of the House of Representatives, at Friday’s scandalous sitting.  While questions have been raised as to the legitimacy of his removal, Espat maintains that he is prepared to attend the next house meeting whenever it is called.  We’ll have a legal perspective on the procedures required to name a member of the house later in the newscast, but for now Espat is sticking to his guns that he was unlawfully removed from the chamber on Friday.

Julius Espat, Area Representative, Cayo South

“I’m a duly elected representative, that is my home.  I was…  What happened was not legal, it was unlawful and therefore I am not suspended and so I will go to the house as is rightfully so as an elected representative.”
