Youth Accused of Murder and Freed is Hospitalized in Stabbing Incident
A Belize City youth is tonight hospitalized at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital after he was stabbed multiple times near the Radisson Hotel in the Fort George area. Twenty-three year old Antelope Street resident, Kendale Green was stabbed to the left side of the chest and hand and was later rushed to the K.H.M.H. for medical treatment. He has since undergone surgery and word to News Five is that Green is now in a stable condition at the hospital. Police have not issued any information on the stabbing, but News Five understands that Green was stabbed allegedly by a Majestic Alley associate near Memorial Park. In April of 2015, Green was freed of the murder of Nigerian taxi man, Francis Chkwu, which occurred in December 2010. Initially, police had charged Jermaine Zuniga and Egbert Daly and Green for the murder, but Zuniga and Daly were set free because there was no evidence against them. Judge Adolph Lucas ruled that the statement of the main witness was inadmissible and Green was freed of the charge.
