Quintana Roo orchestra gives free concert
The Mexican Embassy is inviting the public to a free concert Saturday night at the Bliss featuring a youth orchestra from Quintana Roo. The Orquesta Sinfonica Juventil has been a part of the Quintana Roo School of Music since 1994 and has performed in Mexico City, Oaxaca, and Campeche, as well as their home state. Belizean audiences may remember them from visits in 1995 and 2002. Saturday night’s concert includes a prelude by the Soundboard Music Conservatory of Belize City and the Anglican Cathedral College Band. The show begins at seven p.m. at the Bliss and there is no charge for admission.
