Public Officers Countrywide Invited to Give Views on Issues at Coming Meetings
P.S.U. President Eldred Neal advised both unionists and public officers who were not members to attend the coming meetings so that their views can be heard and taken into account. This follows a concern about the turnout at this afternoon’s meeting, in the municipality with the greatest number of public officers both living and working.
Eldred Neal, President, Public Service Union
“Such is the nature of our democracy. Fortunately or unfortunately, the meeting was opened to all public officers and individuals may say well I didn’t know and I didn’t hear. The point is, it was opened to all public officers—police, B.D.F., nurse, everybody—for them to come share their views. So they have not taken the opportunity to be here or late information or whatever is the case. I am saying; folks, lend your views, lend your opinion and what we will do, we will try to as best we can render that position to all across the country.”
