Belmopan Teachers Out in Droves As Well

The teachers of the Belmopan Branch took to the streets, like their counterparts countrywide, this morning in the center of the capital city. They lined up at the Belmopan Comprehensive School and marched around the Ring Road into Constitution Drive. In addition to the teachers there were some parents and even children carrying the Belizean flag. At the end, there was a rally at the Hilltop Basketball Court on the east Ring Road, a heartbeat away from the National Assembly. One speaker asked the teachers to continue to be vigilant.

“Money stop flow, certain things will happen to this country. We know what the Prime Minister—just like how Miss Christina said—in the game, we follow the game, and you wah know how the game is played. And that’s what I am asking teachers to do—follow the game, know the game and play the game.”

We note that the government is tonight releasing an ad saying that the B.N.T.U. is not listening to their appeal.
