Jacqueline Woods, Reporting
Security Guard Mario Sho and One Stop Shell gas station assistant manager Luis Martin came under fire shortly after the duo pulled up at San Cas Plaza to deposit night receipts at the First Caribbean Bank. Sho, who did not wish to appear on camera, says because he did not see any vehicle following them, he believes the men were waiting for them at the parking lot.
Mario Sho
“The guys were there because when we left that place I was watching behind, front, and on the side and when we reached at Belcan bridge, we never did went around the roundabout, we just cross through straight into the parking lot, but as we reach at the front of where we do our deposit, the car just pulled up.”
Both Sho and Martin received bullet wounds to their shoulders. Although Sho remembers hearing six shots, the police recovered nine expended three-eighty shells along with one expended slug.
Mario Sho
“Three shots was fired at the vehicle, one hit the driver and the next one that went over the pan, that’s the one that hit me.”
Both Sho and Martin managed to get away after Martin drove the vehicle out of the area and to the Queen Street police station. Jacqueline Woods reporting for News 5.
