Burrell Boom Policeman Held Up With Gun
A Sunday mid-afternoon aggravated assault on a Burrell Boom Police Officer has led to the detention of one man. PC Larry Sutherland came face to face with a gun and had to send a call of distress. According to the commander of the Rural Eastern Division the driver was discovered in Ladyville: ACP Edward Broaster tells us more:

“Yesterday, about two-thirty pm, we had a distress from our officer in Burrell Boom regarding a Black Tribute and the driver of that Tribute pulled a firearm on our officer who was stationed at Burrell Boom. When the message went out, our Rural Rapid Response and Relief responded in searching for the individual and about two-forty seven he was found in the Ladyville Area and one black and silver 9 millimeter was recovered from a yard, along with a cell phone, and the individual was captured and he has been since charged. He will be charged today for aggravated assault and kept unlicensed firearm.”
