Voice of: Supt. Sandra Bodden, O.C., San Pedro Police Formation

“San Pedro continues to be a focal point for drugs within the country and so far we have been doing our part. Based on our statistics that we have so far from since the year began, we have managed to either confiscate or seize over sixty-four thousand grams of cannabis. The amount of cocaine that has been seized is minimal, but in September alone, we made eighteen arrests with respect to drugs. So that will tell you something about our interdiction efforts. The stop and searches that we do, play a major role with regards to our drug seizures. But also the information that we get also plays a role because sometimes we get major finds coming on the island both from the airlines and from the water vessels.”
