Hurricane destroyed houses replaced
It took three and a half years, but today fifteen families displaced by Hurricane Keith got replacement houses in Caye Caulker. Funding was provided by the Board of Episcopal Relief and Development working through the Anglican Diocese of Belize, the Government of Belize, and the Caye Caulker Village Council. Today the Prime Minister Said Musa and Right Reverend Sylvestre Romero, Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Belize, toured some of the homes. The keys were handed over to the new homeowners by Sandra Swan, President of the Board of Episcopal Relief, a not for profit organisation which works in countries affected by natural disasters.
