Another Unlicensed Firearm Off the Street
Police have arrested well-known Afghanistan Gang affiliate Roy Davis for the possession of an unlicensed firearm. On Tuesday night, police were on patrol when they encountered Davis and conducted a search that turned up a firearm with ammunition. Police say they believe the gun was used earlier that night. They will be examining the gun to see if it has been used in other crimes:
ACP Chester Williams, Regional Commander, Eastern Division South
“The police were patrolling in the Antelope Street Extension area when their attention was drawn to an individual who the police knew have enemies in that area. Police quickly sprang into action to apprehend the person to conduct a search because if he is out of his zone in enemy territory then more than likely he is there for a specific reason. Upon him seeing the police, he took off and during that process he took out a firearm which he had in his hand while he was running. He did not fire shots at the police and the police didn’t fire shots at him either, thankfully for that. The police eventually caught up with him but not before he had thrown the firearm on top of a house. So, we took him back to the location where the gun was thrown and the gun was retrieved from the house top and was revealed to be one nine millimeter Sig Sauer pistol containing nine live 9mm rounds. I must say that prior to the police seeing him, there was a shooting on Antelope Street where a house was shot at. The expended shells that were found at that scene matches the live rounds that were found in the gun. So, we believe that he is the one who did that shooting. But in the shooting no one was hurt, thankfully for that, only the house got some bullet holes in it.”

“And this person is associated with which gang?”
ACP Chester Williams
“The person is an affiliate of the Afghanistan Gang. I think by now he has been charged, his name is Roy Davis aka Rybo. I think that you all are familiar with him. I am not sure if is going to court today or tomorrow. But I know that he has been charged for keeping an unlicensed firearm and ammunition. There are certain things we are doing from a ballistics standpoint to see how through ballistics we can create some connection between the firearm that was found with him and the expended shells that were found at the scene of the shooting on Antelope Street Extension.”
