“Sir was it a situation where he made a threatening action towards the officers, resulting in him being shot?”
ACP Chester Williams, Regional Commander, Eastern Division South
“From what the officers are saying yes that is the case, but he Commissioner has directed that internal affairs conduct an internal investigation into the matter and the officers from Crimes Investigation Branch are doing the criminal aspect of the investigation.”
Duane Moody
“Sir the minor had a weapon in his hand or something like that? I still don’t understand why police would have to resort to shooting the minor in the foot.”
ACP Chester Williams
“Like I said it is a matter that is being investigated. At the end of the investigation, if the officers are found to be in the wrong, then they will be dealt with. But the Commissioner had directed an investigation into the matter.”
