Accident simulation test police response
There was a traffic accident today in Belmopan, but before you start wondering who got hurt, relax, it wasn’t a real accident. The simulation was held to enhance the performance of the police and their coordination with other emergency services such as ambulance and the Fire Department. The “collision” took place this morning around ten a.m. on the Ring Road and involved a small car and a truck. Twenty-seven officers, including several from the Traffic Department, were being tested on their ability to handle crowd control, divert and manage traffic, length of response time, and crime scene investigation. The event was sponsored by the Police Training School. The course in traffic accident response ends on Friday.
