Honduras police pick up fugitive
Two Interpol officers from Honduras had high praise for the Belizean police who apprehended a suspect wanted for murder in their country. Sub-Inspector William Rivera and Officer Osman Sosa visited the Raccoon Street police station today and met with A.C.P. Maureen Leslie, Commanding Officer of Eastern Division, to congratulate the department. The men said such cooperation strengthens the already strong relationship between the Belize Police and other regional police departments. On Wednesday police in Independence apprehended Anibal Garcia who was hiding out at a farm in the village. Garcia is accused of killing his half brother last October in Honduras.
