Stabbing leaves San Jose woman critical
An attack in the Orange Walk District has left a shopkeeper fighting for her life. According to police, sixty-three year old Catarina Teck was stabbed in the back around 9:30 this morning at her shop in San Jose Village. Police apprehended eighteen-year-old Kevin Rodriguez after villagers responded to Teck’s screams and detained him. He allegedly stabbed her after ordering some goods and she turned around to get them. News 5 understands that there was previously some bad blood between the two villagers. Teck was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital with a punctured lung and is said to be in critical condition.
