Colin Young to be named C.E.O. of Social Security Board
A second C.E.O. in government service is calling it quits. Last week, we confirmed that the C.E.O. in the Ministry of Education for at least eight years Doctor Colin Young has stepped down and is exploring other opportunities for employment. Today, the Social Security Board announced that come January third, 2017, Colin Young will be in place as the Chief Executive Officer of S.S.B. with responsibility for its overall direction. Young is winding down duties as C.E.O. at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, Fisheries, Sustainable Development and Climate Change. According to S.S.B., he is a member of Government’s Economic Policy Coordinating Team and one of twenty-four global members on Green Climate Fund Board, representing Latin America and the Caribbean which manages a ten point two U.S. billion dollar budget. It is not known whether he will continue with these two appointments and the reason for his leaving G.O.B. is also not confirmed. But his wife, Sharon Ramclam continues as C.E.O. in the Ministry of Natural Resources.
