Two charged for rapes in Independence
Police in the village of Independence continue to focus on the sexual exploitation of children, with two new arrests in a single day. On Thursday morning twenty-six year old Kevin Cadle was arrested and charged with rape and unlawful carnal knowledge after a mother reported that her fourteen-year-old daughter could not explain what she was doing in a man’s car after being sent on an errand. When a doctor’s examination confirmed the sexual activity, inquiries by police led to the detention of Cadle.
Later in the day police in the same village responded to a complaint by a mother that her twelve-year-old daughter, who cannot speak, indicated that a man had engaged in sex with her. Seventeen-year-old Mauriciano Williams was detained and charged with rape and unlawful canal knowledge.
