Two sought in murder of Toledo youth

At virtually the same time the life of Marlon Budd was coming to a violent end, another young Belizean was dying of a gunshot wounds over a hundred miles away. Police report that the body of eighteen year old Juan Chiac of Midway Village in the Toledo District was found early this morning about eight miles from Punta Gorda on the Laguna road. There appeared to be a bullet wound in his chest. Juan’s father, Marcus Chiac, says that around seven Wednesday night two men arrived at his house in a red pickup and demanded to see Juan. According to his dad, Juan was forced into the vehicle and taken away. Police have the name of one suspect and are currently searching for him as well as leads on the second assailant.
