Accused Double Murder Suspect Pleads Guilty to Robbery of Church Worker

Double murder suspect, twenty-year-old Jayear Flores, who is on remand for two murders in the city, one including a seven-year old school boy and an adult today began to serve a one-year sentence imposed upon him by Magistrate Norman Rodriguez. This came after he changed his not guilty plea to guilty to a charge of robbery. Flores robbed an elderly retired teacher, Eric Neal, employed at Saint Joseph Parish Church in August of 2015. At the time, Neal reported that he went to the church to collect money to deposit, but when he was about to leave the compound in his vehicle, he was assaulted by a man who robbed him of his laptop bag with cash and cheques totalling two thousand one hundred and one hundred and eighty-eight dollars.  Neal says he shouted for help and office assistant Michael Caceres rushed to his aid, but the robber fled with the money.  Caceres pursued and caught up with him behind the Princess Ramada Hotel on Newtown Barracks with bag and money. With overwhelming evidence against him, Flores took a guilty plea and was sentenced to one year behind bars. Presently, he is on remand for the double murder of seven-year-old Tyler Savery and his relative, Porshan Pipersburgh who were heading to buy a milkshake when they were shot and killed.
