Belize Dragged into Trump Aide’s Laundering Claims in U.S., Ukraine

The Washington Post and other U.S. news organizations have published a huge story which places a former campaign chairman for President Donald Trump to an offshore company in Belize which is linked all the way to the East European country of Ukraine.  The report states that a Ukrainian lawmaker has released new financial documents allegedly showing that a former campaign chairman for President Trump laundered payments from the party of a disgraced ex-leader of Ukraine, using offshore accounts in Belize.  The documents stem from business ties between Trump’s aide, Paul Manafort, and the party of former Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych, who was overthrown in 2014, and is wanted for corruption charges.  According to the article, the documents were released just hours after the House Intelligence Committee questioned F.B.I. Director James Comey about possible coordination between the Trump campaign and Moscow.  Manafort, it is reported, resigned from Trump’s campaign after his name surfaced in connection with secret payments totalling twelve point seven million dollars by Yanukovych’s party. Serhiy Leshchenko, a lawmaker and journalist, released a copy of an invoice on letterhead from Manafort’s consulting company, based in Alexandria, Virginia, dated October fourteenth, 2009, to a Belize-based company for seven hundred and fifty thousand dollars for the sale of five hundred and one computers. Our information is that the shell company, named Neocom, used an address on Mapp Street, which is for International Corporate Services. Neocom, according to our information was dissolved in 2014 and is no longer a legal entity in Belize. And according to one report, ICS has confirmed that it did not manage the affairs of Neocom, nor were they running their business through ICS.
