Counterfeit blue notes are back
Counterfeit currency is back in circulation and citizens are once again urged to be careful. Bogus hundred dollar Belizean notes were reported over the weekend at a Belize City gas station and a Dangriga nightspot. In each case a man made a relatively small purchase with the counterfeit blue note and received good money as change. The business operators did not notice their loss until after the con man had departed.
