Accused Cop-Killer Marcial Toledo Arraigned; Family Claims They were Threatened

Forty-seven-year-old Marcial Toledo, an accused cop killer, is tonight on remand at the Belize Central Prison after being arraigned on Monday for the brutal murder of a law enforcement officer. Despite being booked for the fatal stabbing of Police Constable Marvin Locke, the Honduran national was initially turned back from being admitted into the custody of the Kolbe Foundation. Toledo was rejected upon arrival because the officers who escorted him to the correctional facility failed to produce a medico-legal form. It was not until this morning around ten o’clock that he was allowed entrance unto the compound. This afternoon, Toledo’s children spoke briefly with court reporters, expressing grave concern for the safety of their father. According to twenty-one-year-old Lillian Toledo, her father is not in a sound mental state after being beaten to a pulp by the officers who detained him. She further alleges that Toledo was forced into signing a document while in detention at the Raccoon Street Police Station. The motive for the deadly attack, in the words of the distraught daughter, is, “the incident occurred because the policeman threatened my mother, telling her that if she does not go to live with him, he will kill our father.” Lillian Toledo also claims that Locke wanted to destroy their family and that they could not turn to the police department to file a complaint or to seek assistance since he was a fellow officer. On Monday evening, a severely battered Marcial Toledo appeared unrepresented before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith who read him a single charge of murder. In court, Toledo was stoic, unemotional when being addressed by the Chief Magistrate. Toledo has been remanded to the Belize Central Prison until June sixteenth.
There is a lot more to this story than meets the eye.
I think we have to donate some more blocks to this police stations since they have no guns to protect themselves. Where’s all the donations given to them that should be use for them to have proper armory a police officer needs, it’s a shame when we hear such things that police have to use other means to stop such murder because they have not guns.

This is not a surprise. A day i was brutalized by a group of CIB OFFICERS not knowing who i was. they took my phone away, and a minute after my phone wrong and one of those officers answered. It was my wife calling. He answered saying “i want to (juck) you, come over we have your husband” He then began to sexual harass her through phone. while he did so all the other officer laughed. I was then taken to Belmopan police station where i then got the chance to call my lawyer. he took me out instant, I was released with apologies. This is what i had to say. ((((((“now i realize the unprofessionalism by our authorities and if this is happening through out the country i will not be surprised nor will i ever feel sorry when an officer of the law gets brutally murder”)))))) THEY ONLY LOOKED AT EACH OTHER AND REMAIN SILENT NO ONE SAID A WORD.
I also feel that many people are getting their limitats played on since there’s a trend of many police officers that tend to try take another man’s wife. It’s a true thing and we can’t deny it, we many times see it on the streets but it seems to become a norm but not every body can be played on. So it suppose of be a eye opener to others who try to play rogue cops and end up like this guy. Sorry for the kids now that decisions made by adults affect them sometimes for life.
It’s a statement made also that that uniform they use can’t stop them from being taken down like that, because many time the abuse of power is really outrageous.
That police is one of the one who abuse people using the police force…and there are a lot of police in the force like Locke…. GOB need to sive them out and get rid of them unless these type of things will forever be going on
