Accused Child Rapist Free after Case Falls Apart

Felicito Sho

Another case of sexual abuse against a minor was disposed of in court today.  After he was accused of molesting a child since the age of eleven, in August of 2013, police caught up with Mango Creek resident, Felicito Sho and charged him with rape.   Today, however, the forty-three-year-old was freed. His freedom came before Supreme Court Judge, Justice Adolph Lucas when Prosecutor, Sherigne Rodriguez was forced to enter a case of nolle prosequi even though she tried to seek yet another adjournment. Sho’s case had been in limbo for a while since the alleged victim had not been cooperating and had indicated she did not wish to proceed against her accused molester.  Both the girl and her mother failed to show up in court today so the case was thrown out.  The girl had reported to police that sometime in the month of May 2013, she was sleeping at a home in the city when she was awaken by a man who raped her.  Sho had allegedly been molesting her for some time, but he was not charged until August 2013.  On arraignment he was denied bail because of allegations that he had threatened to kill his accuser.
