Arrests made in two murders
Police have made arrests in two murders that stunned the city in the wake of September celebrations. Twenty-year-old Dwight Stanley Francis of North Creek in Belize City has been charged in Saturday morning’s fatal shooting of Dylan Ferguson. Ferguson was killed on Central American Boulevard following an argument at Archie’s Restaurant and club.
The second arrest arose from the killing on Friday night, September nineteenth, of taxi driver Jimmy Williams. Twenty-two year old Elbert Ashton Anderson, of Aloe Vera Street, has been charged with the murder, the motive for which appears to be robbery. The fatal hold-up netted a grand total of ten dollars.
