Home of Collet representative burglarised
While the preschool theft has apparently been solved, police are tonight hot on the trail of the thieves who broke into the Gill Street home of Collet Area Representative Patrick Faber. Around eleven o’clock this morning, Faber was alerted that his house was being burglarised, but by the time he arrived the burglars had already escaped. According to Faber, the thieves made off with a small stereo system, some jewellery, and a digital camera valued at over two thousand dollars. Police this morning picked up a man who was seen running away from the area, but it is not known if he was involved in the crime. The thieves gained entrance to the building by prying open the front door and were apparently in Faber’s house long enough to help themselves to a drink of wine.
