Edward Broaster Endorses Move to Belmopan
ACP Edward Broaster is moving on up. It was announced over a week ago that he is taking over as the Commander of Operations, a promotion that will see him move from Regional Commander of the Rural Eastern Division where has been for the last two years to the Capital City in a position that puts him right at the top with the leaders of the Police Department. On Wednesday, when the media spoke with ACP Broaster at an event in Ladyville, he was asked about his move to Belmopan. While he didn’t give much details, he said that his move is for the better. He also reflected on his time as the Commander of RED.

“Now, sir, no one ever leaves a post completely satisfied with how they left it, but I’m sure you have seen inroads. Are there specific areas you see that rural eastern division needs drastic improvement that you were unable to get to in the time you’ve served here?”
ACP Edward Broaster
“I believe the time that I’ve served here we have made drastic improvement. I am confident that when I leave that the men and women under my command will continue the good work with the community and continue the community policing efforts that the commissioner of police has chartered us to carry out. This is a policy that has been in effect for over 4 years now and I believe that it is only right that as commanders we train our people and we get our people professional to the point that when we leave we have no fear that they will continue the good work with the community and build that relationship.”
