Courts awards scholarships

This evening Courts Belize Limited awarded several students with a year’s scholarship as part of the store’s back to school promotion. According to Advertising and Promotions Manager, Anamarie Bennett, throughout the year they hold giveaways for their customers and they thought that at the start of the new school year, it was only appropriate to help families with their educational expenses.

“We thought long and hard. Every month we try to be creative with out promotions and have good ideas, and we know that in the month of August, September people are normally saving up all their money to put back into school, get their children started, fees and everything. And with the celebration, we thought that maybe we’ll give them an opportunity to have more money to spend and to be able to put their child in school…We have nine students. It’s seven customers, but two of them have more than one children that we will be taking care of all the way up to fifteen hundred dollars.”

The winners represent Courts stores countrywide.
