“I would just like to invite everyone to come out. Weneed to hear from you. You know, right now, there are numerous issues happening in our country. We have the situation of crime. We have the situation of having to be responding to the W.T.O and preparing for this whole globalisation, and numerous other things that are concern to the nation, and that the university should be taking a lead role in. And we want to hear from people exactly what it is that they want the university to be doing in terms of leading discussions on these issues, and also in terms of educating, building these things in our curriculum.”

Panellists for tomorrow night’s forum include Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Education, Marian McNab, Patrick Faber, Shadow Minister of Education, community activist Nuri Mohammed, Randolph Johnson of the Trade Union Congress, youth activist Ifasina Efuniemi, Principal of Gwen Lizarraga High School Dawn Henry, and U.B. student Tanya Lizama. The forum will start at seven at St. Mary’s Hall.
