Accused ‘Fake Cop’ Waits for Bail; Says He’s Not Doing Well in Prison

Dorian Blair, one of two Belize City men recently charged for impersonating a police officer, was today before the Supreme Court for a bail hearing, but the hearing was moved to May twelfth at the request of his attorney, Oscar Selgado. Before Blair left the stand, Justice Antoinette Moore asked him how he was doing in prison.  Blair responded that he wasn’t well because he was being sanctioned in prison since it is claimed he is a repeat offender.   Blair and Barrington Slusher were arraigned before Chief Magistrate Anne Marie Smith for pretending to be cops. The duo was seen in police uniform near the Publics Supermarket on Central American Boulevard, but the belts they were wearing told the story.  This is the second such time that Blair is charged with such an offense. He has a similar charge before the courts.
