G.O.B. Signs Contract for Airport Link Road

The Government of Belize signed an agreement earlier today for consultancy and supervision of the construction of the Airport Link Road Project.  The stretch of road, approximately five miles long, will intersect the George Price Highway with a bridge crossing over the Belize River near Gentrac Belize Limited at the existing airport access road.  The project was assessed by the OPEC Fund for International Development and presented to its board of directors for the approval of a twelve million U.S. dollar loan.  The contract was endorsed earlier by representatives of Nabeel Abdul Raheem Consultants and BECA International Consultants Limited for roughly five million Belize dollars.
