P.U.P. Ready to Fight Municipal Elections

John Briceño

The countdown is on for the 2018 municipal elections. The People’s United Party is only defending one town council in Orange Walk, where Mayor Kevin Bernard is said to be running for a third term.  Party Leader John Briceño says he is aiming to “fight” the election across the country as it expects a rebound ahead of the general elections.

John Briceño, P.U.P. Leader

“We fight for at election and we are going to fight in the Municipal Elections and we are quite hopeful that we are going to do much better than where we are right now. And there are several municipalities that are poised to be taken over by the P.U.P. and we are going to fight in every municipality, including Belize City. We are not going to give up anything. And with the little resources that we can gather and that we can get, we are going to fight them every step of the way.”
