“T Dog” shot to death by prison guard
One month after he was remanded for the murder of Dean Belisle, twenty-eight year old Mark “T Dog” Stuart is dead, killed by a prison officer at the Hattieville Correctional Facility. Information is sketchy at this time, but what we do know is that the shooting occurred sometime between twelve and one this afternoon. According to reports, Stuart had been giving trouble to prison authorities and the situation reached a point where the decision was made to isolate him. It is still not clear exactly where Stuart was when he was being moved, but during the process, he allegedly attacked one of the four prison guards with what appeared to be a home made weapon. The officer responded by firing a single shot that caught Stuart in the chest. He died on the spot. As is standard procedure, an investigation has been launched to determine if the shooting was justified. At the time of his most recent arrest, Stuart had just been released after completing two thirds of a twelve-year sentence for robbery and aggravated burglary. During his imprisonment, Stuart made a name for himself after he was charged with the murder of his cellmate Husmani Guerra. In that infamous incident, it was alleged that Stuart chopped off Guerra’s hand and threw it out of the cell. A jury, however, found Stuart not guilty of the crime.
