I.D.B. employee found dead at home

He was a low-profile official with a top-level position in the Belize office of the Inter American Development Bank. And tonight Carl Henri Dupui is dead. Dupui, a forty-nine year old Haitian national, has been serving in the post of Financial Specialist with the I.D.B. country office in Belize since 1998. When he did not show up for work this morning, his colleagues grew worried since it was the norm that Dupui would be the first person at the office. A check of his apartment found his vehicle still in the parking lot and when they got no response at the door, the manager of the establishment was summoned for assistance. Upon gaining entrance to the apartment Dupui’s body was found in his bathroom. According to Police Press Officer G. Michael Reid, there were no signs of violence on the body, which awaits a post-mortem examination. Officials say arrangements are being made for Dupui’s body to be returned to his family in Port-au-Prince for burial, following the post-mortem examination.
