Police Closing In on “Hard Rock’s” Killer

Last Wednesday, a popular DJ and activist was killed just outside his home on Central American Boulevard. Forty-year-old Andrew Bennett, known as Hard Rock, was shot multiple times to the head and body and died on the spot. He will be laid to rest later this week and tonight police are looking for a person who is believed to have committed the murder. While they are not saying what is the motive behind the callous crime, the investigations continue.

“The investigation in terms of Mister Bennett’s murder is still ongoing. We know who did it. We have been unable to catch up with that person. The officers are still out there trying to locate that individual and we are hoping that when we do, we will be able to gather the necessary evidence against that person to further a prosecution.”

Hard Rock’s murder shook community because he was well-known and well-liked in the music industry where he provided a training ground for young boys from the community to learn the sound system hustle.
