U.B. employees get raise-a-pay
Its budget has been slashed and structure radically altered…but faculty and staff at the University of Belize will not be short-changed on pay increases. A release from U.B. today confirmed that its employees, like public officers working directly for government, will be granted the same five and eight percent pay raises for senior and junior staff respectively. The pay hikes will be retroactive to April first, 2003 and the bigger paycheques will be disbursed beginning in August. Approximately three hundred university employees will be benefit.
