81-year-old busted for over 16 lbs. of weed

He may be eighty-one years old, but it seems his lungs are in pretty good shape. They’d have to be… because when San Ignacio police busted Archibald Walford with sixteen and a half pounds of marijuana he told the cops that the massive haul was his personal stash. Needless to say, what amounted to more than a lifetime’s supply for an eighteen year old had to be classified as a commercial quantity and in the end Walford pleaded guilty to drug trafficking. The Santa Elena resident was today sentenced by Magistrate Leslie Hamilton to a fine of ten thousand dollars, or in default, three years in jail. A tip led police to search Walford’s home.
