Rene Gutierrez Suffers Fatal Knockdown on Philip Goldson Highway
Police continue to investigate a fatal road traffic accident in Belize City. Thirty-seven-year-old Anthony Humes was driving a Wingle pick-up truck into Belize City from Ladyville on Sunday morning around four-thirty a.m. upon reaching the area in front of Caribbean Tires on the Philip Goldson Highway, around mile three and a half; he hit a motorcycle driven by sixty-one-year-old Rene Gutierrez. Gutierrez sustained severe injuries and was pronounced dead at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.
