Jamaican entertainers invade Belize
Their parents know them as Craig, Rashaun, Xavier and Alistair along with their good friend Wallace Wilson. But to me, you and the rest of the Caribbean, they are the entertainers known as T.O.K. and Red Rat. The Jamaicans have landed for a one night performance at the Belize City Centre and both the artists and the promoters promise an unforgettable show.
“Yeah, you done know this is T.O.K., the family, I go by the name, Bay-C, representing for all the ladies, no ifs no buts no maybes, respect.”
“Yeah you done know, my name is Flex, big up. T.O.K. in Belize for the first time.”

“Well basically, we’re just gonna go out there and give a hundred percent, always. We’re just gonna go out there and just have fun, because basically we’re not gonna sit and think about how we going to take over Belize, we’re just going to go on stage and have fun and do it… So basically we just want everybody to come out, tens and thousands, all the females, everybody, everybody, I’m sure you’re gonna enjoy yourself basically.”

“For those who haven’t seen Red Rat performing, well expect a whole heap of craziness, excitement, fun and party, because that’s all I do.”

“Now your music is popular here, what are you going to be showcasing, some of your newer stuff, you’re gonna stick to the old, in between?”

“Because it’s my first time here, mostly I’ll stick to the stuff from ’96, coming all the way back up. It depends on how I’m on stage, but I’ll throw in some new stuff also. I’m just gonna vibe out, I don’t know exactly what I’m gonna do until I reach that stage.”

“We have generator…we are running on a generator all night, so basically that means even if there is a power outage, the show will not be shut down, it goes on. We have looked at all the problems and we have enough security for the entire night, we have everything down pat. As far as tickets goes, what had happened with the last show is that the tickets were being…they were bootlegged or whatever you want to call it, and we have made wristbands, and that’s not made here in Belize, so that kind of eliminates the problem of anybody that wants to sell fake tickets.”
Both T.O.K. and Red Rat will be signing autographs tonight at the Cahal Pech Entertainment Centre at eight and later, at eleven, at the Eden Night Club in Belize City. The groups take the stage at the Belize City centre at midnight on Friday.
