Police Nab Suspect, Cash in Caribbean Tire Robbery
Some twenty thousand U.S. dollars in cash, five thousand dollars in checks and an undisclosed amount of Belizean currency were stolen over the weekend from the Caribbean Tires office in Spanish Lookout, Cayo District. But the money has been recovered through community and police work. Tonight, an employee is detained for questioning. According to Superintendent of Police Richard Rosado, residents of the community gave valuable information that helped crack the case that appears to be an inside job.
On the Phone: Supt. Richard Rosado, O.C. San Ignacio Police
“On Saturday the twelfth of August, 2017, about seven a.m., San Ignacio Police received information of a burglary at a business establishment in Spanish Lookout, where a substantial amount of money was stolen and subsequently recovered today. We have one person detained for questioning and the investigation continues. I want to take this opportunity to thank the community; I am truly grateful to the community for the assistance they gave the police in solving this case.”

This is how crime is solved, police and witnesses giving information they know is true.
