Still no word on missing taxi driver
He left home on May seventeenth with a parting word to his girl friend that he was going on a trip down south. Ten days later no one has seen or heard from twenty-one year old Belize City taxi driver Rene Alberto Caceres, and his family is appealing for the public’s assistance in finding him. According to Jorge Caceres, his son, who is based at the Novelo’s Bus Terminal Taxi Stand, would not normally go out of the city without first informing his parents. The elder Caceres says that he has been up and down the Coastal Road on the basis of rumours that a red Toyota Camry matching the description of the one owned by his son was seen abandoned along the side of the road. But his search has so far turned up not a clue. At the time of Rene’s disappearance, his parents say he had over six hundred U.S. dollars on him, which he was planning to use to buy a graduation gift for his girlfriend. If you have information on the whereabouts of Rene Alberto Caceres, you are asked to call the nearest police station or his parents at telephone number 600-7180.
