Mayoral Candidate Confident of Taking Down P.U.P.’s Kevin Bernard
De La Fuente’s biggest challenge will be unseating incumbent Kevin Bernard in March 2018. The head of Orange Walk’s town council is a two-time mayor who has been able to hold on to the office despite a majority of the municipalities across the country going red in the last election cycle.

“Do you think that in this municipal election you will be able to unseat him?”
Philip De la Fuente, U.D.P. Mayoral Candidate, OW
“Yes I do.”

“Why?”
Philip De La Fuente
“Alright. Not just because of politics, the people of Orange Walk they know me and they appreciate me. I have been constantly getting support in my pharmacy. I am around visiting people, I never did stop because I just like deh round di hail everybody and talk to people and, you know. But the people of Orange Walk know me from every corner of Orange Walk. They know me and they have pledged their support for me. So I do believe that this election yes, will be the focus of all the media. Everybody will look at Orange Walk but March seventh we will be having a U.D.P. Town Council in Orange Walk. I did not contest the elections after I stepped out, I did not. Until right now I’m stepping in back and again, the team is asking for your support on March seventh. This election I am running so I will be asking for the support.”
