Corozal woman: My sister set me up to be raped!

Tonight, Corozal police are investigating a disturbing case, as a twenty-nine year old woman has reported that her sister set her up to be raped! The woman claims that just after three on Wednesday afternoon, she was at the market when her sister called her over to a red van. Seconds later, two men grabbed her, dragged her into the vehicle and took her to Xaibe Village. There, she says she was raped by five men. After the attack, the woman was dropped off at her home. Police have yet to detain the sister or any of the other suspects for questioning.

Meanwhile, another young woman, this time from the Cayo District, has also reported that she was raped. According to the sixteen-year-old student, around six o’clock Wednesday evening she hired a taxi to take her home from school, but instead, the man took her to a deserted road and raped her. Police are looking for the taxi driver.
