Tanker late; so are fuel price cuts
On last night’s newscast we authoritatively reeled off the new lower fuel prices and reported that they would come into effect at midnight. And while the numbers were right, the timing was not. Although the tanker was scheduled to arrive Wednesday afternoon, it was apparently delayed in Honduras and it is not certain exactly when it will anchor in the Belize City harbour. The new fuel prices, fifty-cents per gallon cheaper, will not come into effect until the shipment of gasoline, diesel and kerosene, actually arrives. Our apologies to all those motorists who searched in vain today for that bargain fuel.
