Father and Daughter Struck by Hit-and-Run Vehicle
Meanwhile another staff member is the victim of a hit and run in the city. Master Control Operator Alvin usher and his daughter Brianna are lucky to be alive after they were knocked off their scooter around eight o’clock on Wednesday night. The father and daughter were riding on Coney Drive when upon reaching near the Matalon building; they were hit by a pickup, traveling in the opposite direction. The impact flung the duo to the pavement; Usher sustained three fractures to his left leg and will be undergoing surgery, while Brianna sustained one fracture, also to the left leg. Speaking from his hospital bed, Usher recounted to News Five what happened.
On the Phone: Alvin Usher, Accident Victim
“Me and my daughter were on a cycle going up Coney Drive. And when we reached near the Matalon building, a dude in a white pickup double cab just came out of nowhere and just hit me and my daughter.”
Duane Moody
“Was this person speeding?”
On the Phone: Alvin Usher
“Well I neva mi di notice speeding cause we were coming from opposite direction and by the time we reach the lane, we just got hit. I’m not even sure if he put on indicator or nothing.”
Duane Moody
“I know that you and your daughter were injured. Talk to us about the injury that both of you received.”
On the Phone: Alvin Usher
“Well right now two of our left feet are broken. I will need surgery. That’s basically the injury we have.”
They can find out who did this. I’m sure with the established business around there on Coney drive there must be cameras. TransparentBpo, Matalon, Napa, ETC, turton. If police really want find out who did it they would cross check those video records with the specific time frame in mind and find out who did it. Just my two cents.
